2022 Green your Commute Challenge!

The 2022 Green Your Commute Challenge was May 15-22, 2022.  During this week employers and commuters used alternative means of transportation to get back and forth to work.  Each alternative commute trip recorded made commuters eligible for prizes and employers eligible for recognition.  Public transit, carpool, vanpool, biking, walking and telework all qualified!

Prizes and Rules

  • Every commuter who participates is eligible for a Grand Prize $100 gift card, the winner to be chosen in a random drawing after the challenge.
  • Commuters who record more "Green Commutes" during the challenge week will have more chances to win. Every trip you record using alternative transportation (anything other than driving alone in a vehicle) gives you a chance to win the $100 Grand Prize gift card.
  • Employers will also compete for recognition for the most overall green commuting trips taken by employees. First place certificates will be awarded to small (50 or fewer employees), medium (51-250 employees) and large (250+ employees) organizations.
  • Employers of each size will also be recognized in two categories: 1) largest savings in CO2 emissions by employees and 2) most money saved in fuel costs by employees.
