Parking Management

The proper balance of parking is essential to the success of Transit Oriented Development (TOD). Overparked TODs can suffer from poor walkability, connectivity, and less land available for the creation of compact, vibrant communities. Maximum allowed parking ratios, shared parking, structured parking and the use of parking authorities are just some of the techniques and management strategies that can be applied within TOD.

The TOD Resource Guide will provide resources and strategies that all stakeholders throughout the TBARTA Region can use to help form partnerships and enhance the decision making process and development of parking management strategies for TODs.
