Economic development is critical not only to the success of TOD, but to all areas within our communities. TOD can make our local governments more fiscally stable by promoting housing and job growth in compact areas easily accessible via transit. How individual communities choose to retain, attract and/or incent higher wage jobs will depend upon each communities’ vision and available resources. For example, methods such as land banking or tax abatement programs might be right for one community, but not another. The TOD Resource Guide is intended to provide resources and strategies that all stakeholders throughout the TBARTA Region can use to begin a dialogue, form partnerships and enhance their abilities to target their communities’ resources into those activities which will enhance our communities’ quality of life.
The TOD Resource Guide is intended to provide resources and strategies that all stakeholders can use to help form partnerships and enhance their abilities to provide affordable and workforce housing within TODs throughout the TBARTA Region.
